- Lyndon: So, what is your favourite place in Kent, and why?
- Liz: Oh, I have lots of favourite places in Kent, because I grew up there, that’s where I’m from.
- Lyndon: Well if you had to pick just one, what would it be? What’s the most memorable place in Kent?
- Liz: Oh… You know, Kent is really famous for its hops. We make a lot of beer there, so there are some great oast houses.
They’re special places to dry the hops in. So, maybe a pub in an oast house would be my favourite place in Kent.
- Lyndon: Pubs in Kent, that’s something good about Kent!
- Liz: Pubs in Kent, yeah!
- Lyndon: One thing I know about Kent is…
- Liz: The coast is great too. There’s a lot of beaches…
- Lyndon: And a lot of oysters.
- Liz: There are! It used to be famous for oysters. Whitstable…
- Lyndon: Ah, Whitstable is a really nice town in Kent. I do know this one, because I was thinking, where is there in Kent that
I know? And I only think of Dover, which is awful!
- Liz: Sevenoaks… Maidstone…
- Lyndon: Oh Maidstone… What is… Where is… What is there in Maidstone?
- Liz: I don’t know! In Canterbury, there is a cathedral!
